Terms of sale

These are the terms an order on this site is taken under. Last updated 30 September 2026.

1. Who you are buying from

Tinvero is a trading name of Superior Stock LLC, of W4637 Lakepark Drive, Fond du Lac, WI 54935, US. Write to hello@tinvero.com; it reaches a person.

2. What we sell, and what we claim about it

One rectangular polarised frame in five tints. We are a retailer: the frames are manufactured by a third party and we do not design or make them, and we do not say otherwise anywhere on this site.

The measurements, materials and lens description published here are the figures the frame maker publishes on their own documentation, attributed as such on every page that prints one. Figures the maker does not publish — a light transmission percentage, a lens category, a UV cut-off in nanometres — are left out rather than filled in with something that looks right. Where this site says a lens is polarised and UV-protective, that is the manufacturer's stated specification. If a figure here turns out to be wrong, that is a fault in the goods and clause 6 applies; we would also rather you told us.

Colours on a screen are not colours in the hand. Tint, frame finish and mirror intensity vary between monitors, and a difference you can see but would not have chosen is a reason to return a pair, not a defect.

3. Prices, tax and shipping

Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax. Any sales tax is calculated at checkout from the address the order ships to and shown before you pay. Free shipping. Prices can change, but never after an order is placed: the price you are charged is the price shown at the moment you pay.

If a price is listed in obvious error — an order of magnitude out — we may decline the order and refund it in full rather than fulfil it, and we will tell you why.

4. Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we dispatch the goods, not when you pay and not when the automatic receipt arrives. Until then we may decline an order — most often because a tint has sold out between the page loading and the payment clearing — and the full amount is refunded.

We sell to consumers. Orders that look like resale or fulfilment volume may be declined, and larger quantities are better arranged by email.

5. Payment

Payments are taken by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page. Card details are entered on Stripe's systems and never reach this site or its servers; we can see that a payment succeeded, the last four digits and the billing address, and nothing else. Stripe's terms and privacy policy apply to that part of the transaction alongside ours.

6. Delivery, returns and faults

Delivery times and what counts as a fault rather than wear are set out on the shipping and returns page, which forms part of these terms.

We do not accept returns. An order cannot be cancelled or sent back because you have changed your mind about it, and there is no cooling-off period. This is stated on every product page, in the bag, on the payment screen and on the returns page, and by placing an order you accept it.

That does not touch the goods themselves. A pair that arrives damaged, a pair that is not what you ordered, and a manufacturing defect within 30 days are all put right at our cost, and nothing above limits your statutory right to goods that are as described and fit to be worn.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, that is ours to resolve with the carrier, not yours.

7. Using this site

The text, photography, diagrams and code on this site belong to us or to our suppliers and are not yours to republish. Quoting a paragraph with a link back is fine and welcome. Copying the journal wholesale is not.

Do not attempt to interfere with the site, its checkout or its order lookup, or to access any part of it you have not been given a link to. The order lookup deliberately refuses to confirm whether an order number exists without the matching email address, and probing it is not a grey area.

8. Liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses, or for anything arising from use of a pair in a way it was not sold for.

Sunglasses are not safety equipment. These are not impact-rated eye protection and are not sold as such; they are not for use in place of safety glasses, goggles, a welding shield or a face screen, and they are not medical devices. A polarised lens can make some LCD screens hard to read and is the wrong lens for a cockpit or for driving at night, which our journal explains at length. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes

We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, and the date at the top of this page is when it last changed.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of WI and of the United States, and nothing in them affects the consumer rights your own state gives you. Where a term here falls short of those rights, the law wins.
